Last Friday I received an email with a photo of our first Speed Concept production bike. The engineering and manufacturing team gathered in our Whitewater, WI production facility to watch the first bike go down the line. Using their best marketing efforts, they spray painted a big #1 on the box for the first one, and then all signed the box.
I see the photo and my first reaction is....fellas are you freaking kidding me? The most advanced bike that Trek has ever produced and we are spray painting a number 1 on it??? Is a Trek retailer really going to want to be on the receiving end of this box?

Anyways, what's most important is what is inside the box and it is incredible: the most technologically advanced product that Trek has ever engineered. When will you see it? Product launch is set for Saturday, May 22nd, at Disney Hall in Los Angles—the same day of the Tour of California time trial. Then check out all the launch info at www.trekbikes.com.

AS a Trek Retailer, i can tell you I'd LOVE to get the box with the giant #1 on it!
