I travel to Germany every fall for the EuroBike show and each year there is the tradition of serving cake around 2 pm daily at the Trek booth. I like this tradition and take part every day. It's the same every year. On day 1 of the show, chocolate cake is served. On day 2, lemon cake is served. The chocolate cake is AWESOME, so I make a yearly suggestion to kill the lemon cake and just serve the chocolate cake. Another tradition is that everyone listens to my suggestion and then they ignore it. After last years show, I sent a note to Tully and asked once again that we just serve the chocolate cake. I also gave Tully the option of serving the chocolate cake and the lemon cake at the same time and then we could see what the customers really like. And so this year on day 1 of the show, the chocolate cake was served and was AWESOME. Day two of the show, the chocolate cake came back and a little bit later a lemon cake appeared. While in a meeting, I was told that all of the chocolate cake was gone and it took a long time and a lot of selling for the lemon cake to go away.
And you thought I was only the president of a bicycle company.
Jb.

That settles it, next year I am going to the Eurobike show. I have been checking out Gary Fisher's tweets about the show all week and now that I know there is cake there I have gotta go. Just let me know if Trek needs someone to help serve cake next year and I am there!

Nobody told me they served cake at Eurobike. Chocolate cake at that. That settles it. No Interbike for me in 2011. I'm heading to Eurobike. Do they drink beer in Germany? :-)
